Meet Alex Portal, a remarkable athlete hailing from the French para-swimming team, competing in the S13 category. Alex's journey in swimming began at the tender age of 5, inspired by his family's involvement in the sport. With his sister and aunt swimming, and his grandmother serving as the president of the Pecq swimming club, Alex was immersed in a swimming culture that ignited his passion for the water.
Driven by his dreams, Alex found his calling during the 2012 Olympic Games. Continuing his triumphant journey, Alex excelled at the 2022 World Championships. He claimed the gold medal in the 200-meter individual medley, along with silver medals in the 400-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly. The 2021 European Championships witnessed Alex's unwavering dedication once again.
