Freeskier Sabrina Cakmakli first started skiing when she was two before switching to snowboarding five years later, vowing to never ski again. However, when she turned 15 she had a change of heart and began freeskiing, dabbling in everything from slopestyle to big air events, but it was the halfpipe she fell in love with. Today she is a two national champion in the event, holds five top-five world cup finishes, and is a three-time Olympian. Off the snow she’s currently pursuing a Master in Sport Science and Nutrition at IST-Studieninstitut / IST-Hochschule, Dusseldorf and looking at ways to help grow the sport in her country among the next generation.
